MARC C. JOHNSON
A former chief of staff and press secretary to Governor Andrus, Johnson is the volunteer President of the Center. He is also a partner with Gallatin Public Affairs and manages the firm’s Boise office. Prior to becoming press secretary to Andrus, Johnson served as managing editor for Idaho Public Television's award-winning program, Idaho Reports. He writes extensively and speaks regularly about politics, public policy and history.
Johnson has been recognized as a national leader in the work of the state humanities council and has chaired both the Idaho Council and the Federation of State Humanities Councils. He has testified before Congress on the work of the state councils. His writing has appeared in numerous newspapers and Montana Magazine. He has authored or co-authored many of the Center’s publications.
