In 1995, Cecil D. Andrus completed his unprecedented fourth term as Governor of Idaho and turned his attention to the establishment of the Andrus Center for Public Policy. Andrus donates his service as chairman. The Center is a privately-financed, non-profit (501(c)(3)) organization and is affiliated with Boise State University.
The Center has no paid staff and develops its conferences and other program thanks to the generous support of individuals, corporations and foundations.
One of the Center’s enduring relationships has been with the Idaho Statesman newspaper in Boise. The Statesman has served as a sponsor of numerous conference events.
Past Center “white paper” reports detail those individuals, corporations and foundations that have supported our work and share the Andrus Center’s commitment to non-partisan, civil engagement on issues critical to Idaho, the American West and the United States.
